Tiny Joys: 10 Little Things That Saved My Sanity This Week
Let’s be honest — some weeks are held together with caffeine and crumbs. And while motherhood is full of big, beautiful moments, sometimes it’s the tiny things that get us through the chaos.
This is my weekly list of small joys, unexpected wins, and weirdly specific things that gave me life lately. ✨
1. Making a coffee exactly the way I like it…and being able to drink it.
2. A 2-hour nap (!!) from my baby.
3. The smell of clean laundry (not the folding, just the smell).
4. A Target trip alone. I actually had time to browse!
5. Reading a book that wasn’t about parenting.
6. Spending time outside in the California sunshine.
7. UberEats = no dinner cooking stress.
8. My mom tagging me on a post calling me a great mom.
9. My child laughing the hardest he ever has at our dog and cats.
10. Sitting in the car in the driveway for 5 extra minutes of silence.
Why I Keep This List
Life moves fast. Some days I forget what I even did. So once a week, I pause and write down 10 tiny joys — things that made me smile, laugh, breathe easier, or just feel more like myself. It’s my favorite free therapy.
Give it a try this week. Your list might surprise you.
